  OPEN WEAVING WITH ELIZABETH MORISETTE

Arlington Public School Students add to Elizabeth Morisette's Looming Loom. Fabric, rubber bands, and toothbrushes are just a few of the items that bring the work of art to vibrant life. Free to decorate as they saw fit, these creative kids just had to remember four things...over under, over under!

FROM THE JUNKYARD TO THE FRONTYARD OPENING RECEPTION

Ellipse Arts Center open
ned From the Junkyard to the Frontyard, an exhibit that will help redefine our conception of junk, on Thursday. According to Director/Curator Cynthia Connolly "although we often assume there is only the one common use for everything manufactured, this exhibit exposes the ingenuity of five artists who take found, free or very inexpensive materials and transform them into beautiful peices of art, rendering the "junk" unrecognizable in the process."

Director Cynthia Connolly (right) chats with artist Margaret Boozer (left) at the openning reception.

Junkyard artists Richard Bay (right) and Carolyn Bernstein (left) discuss Richard's Art.

Junkyard artist Jeff Willson shows off his tie made with recycled lids.

Arlington County Mechanic and Junkyard artist George Kakissis discusses his work with viewers.

We had a devil of a good time!
