  The Power of a Cliché: Exhibiting Iran & Representing Women

On the evening of Thursday July 19th, 2007 the Ellipse Arts Center hosted an educational panel discussion entitled The Power of a Cliché: Exhibiting Iran and Representing Women. Moderated by TRANSFORM/NATION co-curator and Iranian Alliances Across Borders co-founder Narges Bajoghli (left) listens with exhibiting artists Haleh Anvari (center left) and Afarin Rahmanifar (center right) as former ArteEast editor Maymanah Farhat (right) discusses the complications that accompany exhibiting Iranian artists in the West.



 
Ellipse Arts Center is a 3,000 square foot visual arts facility managed by Arlington Cultural Affairs, Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resourses.
